We believe it’s important for you to know a little about who we are and where we come from.

In 1973, Kurt opened his law office on Merivale Road under the sign: Barrister, Solicitor & Notary Public. Over the next 50 years, he built a trusted general practice, serving loyal clients with the support of dedicated and long-standing employees. He appeared in court for Civil Litigation matters and Family Law matters, managed Estates, draft Wills & POAs, purchased and sold residential and commercial real estate, and handled incorporations / sales / and franchising of businesses.

In 2002, while visiting his daughter Katrina in Paris—fresh from completing her M.B.A. and embarking on a career in finance—Kurt made a “suggestion.” Although the international business lifestyle was glamorous, he hinted she might one day take over the family firm. By the following September, Katrina was in law school, beginning a career in law she has never regretted (though she still loves visiting Paris!).

For many years, the firm was known as Anders, Young, Strong & Jonah, later Anders, Roloff & Jonah. These years were marked by collaboration, shared knowledge, and best practices among colleagues. Murray Young eventually retired, and Marylynn Strong sadly passed away in May 2020.

In October 2020, Kurt and Katrina moved the firm just down the road to the corner of Merivale and West Hunt Club. Today, they work side by side with a talented team of clerks and support staff—some of whom have been with the firm for decades—continuing a tradition of professional excellence and personal commitment to clients.
